Gladys Opal Prather, 90, Waynetown died 6:43 a.m. Monday in Ben Hur Nursing Home. Mrs. Prather retired as a retail clerk at Covington and formerly worked in production for Radio Material Corporation in Attica. Her memberships included Stringtown Church of God. She was a 1933 graduate of Perrysville HS. She was born April 17, 1916 in Vermillion County, to Milton O. and Minnie L. Mosbarger Prather (sic). She married Lyle E. Prather July 23, 1935. He died Aug. 25, 2001. Survivors include son Lyle (Ruth Ann) Gaylord Prather, Waynetown; daughter Karen (Don) Nowling, Waynetown; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren. One great grandson is deceased. Graveside services are scheduled 1 p.m. Saturday in Waynetown Masonic Cemetery with Rev. Dorman WInger officiating. There will be no calling. Shoemaker Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. - kbz
